Laurie Arrives in Tanzania

Laurie called yesterday to say that they all arrived safely in Dodoma, Tanzania yesterday around lunch time. The plan was to stay there one day and then fly back to Kampala, but unfortunately, more engineering things need to be done to the plane, and so he won't be back till Tuesday night. The girls (and me) are missing him a lot! Please pray that they can get all the work done in a timely manner so that they can come back soon!

Laurie arrives in Malawi

Laurie arrived at about 6.30pm our time in Malawi last night. It was about 1 1/2 hours later than I was expecting to hear and so was understandably nervous. There is no way that any one can find out where he is when he's flying in these kind of places. There's no flight following for such remote places and so he's really on his own! Anyway, it turns out that he had several delays in South Africa before being able to leave. Thankfully for the flight itself was very good. Today (Thurs) he should be flying from Lilongwe, Malawi to Dodoma, Tanzania. I hope to hear sometime this afternoon that he has landed there.

Laurie's Big Flight Part 2

Hi all, today is the day that Laurie and Kees (Chief Engineer from MAF Uganda) and Owen (Tanzanian engineer) fly the Cessna Caravan back to Uganda from South Africa. The plane has been down there much longer than anticipated..and has caused us problems here in Uganda. Apparently the spray paint job is lovely and the plane is 'very pretty' (in Laurie's words). Please pray for good weather, well behaved plane and good judgement for Laurie. They should arrive in Lilongwe, Malawi tonight. I'll keep you posted!

Thank you Susan

Today I received from Amazon.co.uk a book from 'Susan'. I don't know which of my multiple Susan friends sent it...but wanted to say thank you very much! I shall enjoy reading it!
