Happy 4th July!

Whoops - have we not been keeping this updated or what?
It's now the end of June, and for those who have been keeping up with us - Emma is now in Johannesburg, South Africa on her course. I (Laurie) am at home with the girls - Last week was relatively easy with them being at school until Thursday when they broke up for the summer holidays. This weekend just gone was fun - we went swimming after lunch saturday and then went round to some friends (some of the few who haven't left Kampala for the summer yet!). The girls played with their girl and I managed to get some volleyball in.
Sunday was a good day too - After church we went round to a leaving party for quite a few people who are permanently leaving Uganda and going back to their respective countries. It was hosted at a beautiful house in the middle of Kampala - sad to say bye to friends though.
Then in the afternoon the American Club here were holding their 4th July celebrations (a little early!) and there were loads of things to do - the girls had their faces painted, played on the inflatable, ate hot dogs, and burgers and watched the fireworks. Naomi was a bit scared at first, but I think eventually took her hands away from her ears and enjoyed it.
This week coming there's kids club and swimming, dinners out - man the fun just keeps on coming!
13 days to go....
