Internet problems

Who would have thought it? A problem with the internet cable in the Mediterranean Sea causing trouble for the whole of East and South Africa!

It seems that the SEACOM cable that is the backbone of the internet connection in these parts had a problem a week or 2 ago which needed fixing. Turns out that now we have a backup connection - I am guessing a satellite connection which has seriously reduced our available bandwidth. Hence emails are either taking a long time to come through - or not at all.

Currently they are saying that things should be fixed by tonight - we'll see!

ISU "5k Fun Run"

Well - today was the day - our first ever "International School of Uganda Family Fun Run" together. We only did the 5k version and, to be quite honest, there wasn't a whole lot of running done, at least by us! Fun on the other hand was had by all. Beth and Laurie raced on ahead and finished 184 and 185 and Emma and Naomi came in at 294 and 295. We're still not sure of our times, but seeing as it was our first run, must be our personal bests! Naomi says that she doesn't want to do next years already - "it must have been like 5 hours of walking", we doubt it was over 1 hour 20!
