Emma is Certified!

Well, I know that most people have known this for a loooonngg time, but I am finally certified (or certifiable)! Haha! Seriously...I have now just finished my course with The College of New Jersey Teacher Certification programme. They have a 3 week jammed packed course in Johannesburg, South Africa where we work hideously hard and get as many essays/lectures/exams done as possible in the shortest amount of time. I did the first Summer course last year, followed by a busy year doing interim courses/projects/essays/internships. And now I've just come back from this Summer's 3 week course.

It was quite a fun time really. There were about 14 of us on the course. We had people working in International Schools in Nigeria, Cameroon, Kenya, Uganda, S. Africa, Bahrain, Paraguay, Germany, S. Korea, Zimbabwe and Ethiopia. Quite a mix....and some fascinating people! It was eye opening.

I'm so glad that it's all over though. I really think that is my last qualification....but I said that after my PhD! Ah well, being a life long learner is no bad thing for a teacher I guess!

Many thanks to those of you that have prayed for me during this past year. It's been one busy year. I'm excited about what I've learnt and hope that I can put it into good practice at school this coming academic year.
